Joe Morelli

As our Spring Issue of NWAS went to the printer we found out that Joe Morelli passed away March 4, 2009. A complete remembrance will be written for the summer issue. We encourage you to send in your remembrances of Joe for that issue.

Your cards of remembrance and encouragement may be sent to Joe's wife, Tussy, and to his family at 316B 2800 Chesterfield Ave., North Vancouver, BC V7N 4M1.

In the Spring Issue of NWAS News, we feature Joe Morelli's arrangement of "Hidden Treasures Waltz." You will love this beautiful waltz.

BILLINGS, MONTANA HAS NEWLY ORGANIZED ACCORDION CLUB

An accordion club for the Billings region was organized on May 24,2008 according to organizer Leland Cade. Twelve individuals were present and formed the initial membership. Future meetings were scheduled for the last Friday of each month at the Elks Club on Lewis Avenue.

Cade emphasized that his vision for the club was that all levels of capability be welcome; that it would include button boxes; other instruments would be . welcome. The number one goal, Cade said, is to create an enjoyable environment where members could learn and socialize, with the accordion being the common interest. Charles Duenow was named Jam Session Straw Boss.
